Michael Crawley

Derbyshire based artist Michael Crawley is well documented as working for 'Royal Crown Derby' and his designs have appeared frequently on their products. He is one of the artists who have been noted for their work in the Derby Porcelain International Society. He often used his own landscapes and flower paintings as designs on porcelain.  

During his time at Royal Crown Derby he was responsible for decorating a series of dinner plates and a cream jug presented to HM Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother on the occasion of her visit to the Royal Crown Derby factory in 1971. In 1974 he painted six plates with Derbyshire scenes which were presented to HRH Princess Anne when she visited Royal Crown Derby.

He paints in both oils and watercolours, principally landscapes of Derbyshire, although he has painted scenes in New York, Italy and France and also locomotives.

DELIVERY INSURANCE / GLASS DAMAGE

Full insurance is included in the postage and packing charge. No carrier will insure against damage to artwork so we provide this insurance ourselves. Unfortunately we are unable to insure against damage to glass in transit.

Glass will be removed from all overseas shipments. If your shipment is within the UK and you also wish for the glass to be removed from your purchase we will do this upon request. Please contact us by email quoting your order reference.
